Bowen-Duncan doubles bowling champs

The Boardman Summer Doubles League finished its 13-week season at Boardman Lanes and for the second consecutive year, Mike Bowen and Doug Duncan were victorious.

The championship match was neck-and-neck until Bowen and Duncan stepped up the pace in the final game with scores of 258 and 249, respectively, capturing the league title. The pair also were victors of the second-third and bested the first-third winning partners of Sam Carissimi and Jen Sivak in the finals match.

Third-third qualifiers Michelle Gomori and Chris Tiberio and the wild card team of Mark Beil and Dale Kushma participated in the roll-offs but were ousted in the semifinals.

The league bowls each Monday and attracts several of the best bowlers in the Greater Youngstown Bowling Association.
