BIBLE PREDICTIONS

Think about a few of these biblical prophecies.

Restoration of Israel: Ezekiel predicted it 600 years before Christ, and after 2,548 years, it actually happened. On May 16, 1948, a new Jewish state was born (Ezekiel 36:24).

Nuclear fision: Sixty-six years after the birth of Christ, the apostles Peter and John predicted that when this age ends “the heavens shall pass away with a great noise and the elements shall melt with fervent heat; the earth … shall be burned up … the third part of men killed…”(2 Peter 3:10; Rev. 9:18). On July 16, 1945, an atomic bomb three times as hot as the sun was dropped on Hiroshima beginning the Nuclear Age. Some 190,000 people died in a few minutes. The “melting” of the elements suddenly was no longer fodder for skeptical ridicule.

Global Simulcasting: The Apostle John predicted in 95 A.D. (Revelations 11) that two notable clergymen would be killed in the last days and their bodies would remain in the streets of Jerusalem where they would be seen worldwide for three days. An unthinkable possibility in that day. But 867 years later, in 1962, the $50 million TellStar was launched as “one of the greatest scientific advances in the history of mankind” and the impossible suddenly became possible.

Recapture of Jerusalem: Jesus predicted that “Jerusalem shall be trodden down (held in captivity) by the Gentiles, until the time of the Gentiles be fulfilled.” (Luke 21:24). In a dramatic Six Day War during June of 1967, old Jerusalem was recaptured and restored to an independent Israel for the first time since 597 B.C., suggesting an “end-time” paradigm shift was imminent, with the Jewish nation as a focal point.
