Counterfeit money: A counterfeit $10 bill was passed at Dollar General, 1739 S. Raccoon Road.
Aug. 9
Warrant: Police arrested Steven Spitzer, 21, of 6660 Abbott St., on two outstanding warrants on charges of obstructing official business and unauthorized use of property.
Theft: A bike was stolen in the 4000 block of Mahoning Avenue.
Breaking and entering: Eight nail guns were stolen from Renu Roofing, 168 S. Meridian Road.
Theft: Medication was taken in the 100 block of Westchester Drive.
Theft: A man took DVDs at Giant Eagle, 5220 Mahoning Ave.
Warrant: Police arrested Gene Buchanan, 19, of 4647 Belmont Ave., Liberty, on a warrant charging failure to appear on a theft charge.
Aug. 10
Criminal damaging: Police arrested Brittney Shipley, 21, of 3844 Forest Ridge Court, Weathersfield, on charges of criminal damaging, breaking a window, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a glass pipe, in the 2000 block of South Raccoon Road.
Theft: An iPod was taken from an auto parked in the 3000 block of Highmeadow Drive.
Warrant: Police arrested Matthew Lombel, 29, of 6474 S. Timberidge Ave., on a warrant at St. Elizabeth Health Center, Youngstown, on a theft charge.
Bad check: A bad check for $979 was reported at Power Tool and Supply, 3699 LeHarps Road.
Theft: Sunglasses and miscellaneous coins were stolen from an auto parked in the 4000 block of Alderwood Drive.
Theft: Personal papers were taken from an auto in the 4000 block of Alderwood Drive.
Theft: Police issued a summons to Colleen Saltsman, 36, of 4501 Deer Creek Court, in a theft at Kmart, 4475 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: A backpack with a checkbook were stolen from an auto in the 3000 block of Warwick Court.
Menacing: A woman reported being menaced in the 5000 block of Pine Shadow Court.
Disturbance: Three women were involved in a disturbance at The Manor, 3104 S. Canfield-Niles Road.
Aug. 11
Warrant: Police arrested Birdina Jones, 57, of 4263 New Road, on a warrant charging failure to appear on traffic charges by Niles police.
Recovered property: A stolen 2004 Chevrolet Malibu was recovered in the 1000 block of Fountain Square.
Criminal damaging: A decorative lighthouse was damaged in the 200 block of Idlewood Road.
Theft: Someone stole medicine, a cigarette lighter and food and beverages from Sheetz gas station, 5499 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: A homeowner in the 4000 block of Aspen Drive paid someone $340 to have work done on his boat, but the work has not been done.
Warrant: Police arrested Jolleen Boggs, 20, of 4553 Deer Creek Court, at Mahoning Avenue and Meridian Road on a warrant for failure to appear on a petty-theft charge.
Animal complaint: A summons was issued in a violation of the leash law to Toni Pachell, 4415 Burkey Road.
Theft: A wallet was taken and a debit card used at Kmart and at Gary’s Hair Scene, 4372 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: A radar detector was stolen from an auto in the 5000 block of West Viola Drive.
Aggravated menacing: A man is accused of menacing at the Grooming Studio, 3833 Mahoning Ave.
Burglary: A man is accused of burglary in the 1000 block of North Meridian Road.

Aug. 12
Fraud: A woman in the 600 block of North Four Mile Run Road reported she received a bank draft for $1,300 from a company and sent the same amount to another individual. The bank draft was returned as invalid.
Burglary: A home was burglarized, but nothing was taken in the 5000 block of Pine Shadow Court.
Theft: A cell phone was stolen from an auto in the 4000 block of Kirk Road.
Warrant: Police arrested Steven Mazzola, 33, of 2210 Rolling Meadows Drive NE, Warren, at St. Elizabeth Health Center, 6200 Mahoning Ave., on active warrants out of multiple police departments.
Menacing: Threatening text messages were sent a woman in the 4000 block of Westchester Drive.
Theft: Compact discs, speakers and a paint gun were stolen from an auto at Fred Martin Ford, 4701 Mahoning Ave.
Telecommunications harassment: Numerous calls from a sweepstakes company were reported in the 1000 block of Bexley Drive.
Criminal damaging: A vehicle was scratched in the 4000 block of Pembrook Road.
Telecommunications harassment: A man is a suspect in the 4000 block of Maureen Drive.

Criminal damaging: A pool and a floating device were cut in the 1000 block of Carnegie Avenue.
Auto theft: A 1994 Buick Century was stolen in the 1000 block of Paisley Street.
Theft: Two bicycles were stolen in the 40 block of Parkgate Avenue.
Criminal damaging: A pool liner was cut in the 1000 block of Forest Hill Drive.
Theft: Two flatbed trailers were stolen at the T.A. Travel Center truck lot, 5400 Seventy-Six Drive.
Warrant: Police arrested Zachary Bell, 19, of 3975 Timberlane Ave., on a warrant charging possession of heroin and inducing panic.

Warrant: Police arrested Jay R. Weston, 24, of 7057 West Blvd., Boardman, on a warrant charging littering and drug-abuse instruments in Cornersburg.
Warrant: Edward Knox, 44, no address listed, was turned over to Youngstown police after being arrested at Westgate Boulevard and Rosemont Avenue on a warrant charging failure to appear on a DUI charge.

Drug offense: Police arrested Kristie Gearhart, 21, of 227 Lora Ave., Youngstown, at South Meridian Road and Acton Avenue on a summons charging possession of marijuana.
Disturbance: Several people were involved in a disturbance and a gun was recovered at Rumors Lounge.
Criminal damaging: A vehicle as damaged in the 4000 block of Westchester Drive.

Theft: A ceramic rooster and a plastic giraffe were stolen in the 200 block of South Edgehill Avenue.

Misuse of credit card: A total of $250 was charged to a credit card without permission by the homeowner’s son in the 6000 block of Timberidge Drive.
Theft: Police issued a summons to Jack Gentile, 43, of 126 Mistletoe, Niles, in the theft of five candy bars at Sheetz gas station, 5499 Mahoning Ave.
Drug offense: Police issued a summons charging possession of marijuana to Phillip Roberts, 20, of 48490 Calcutta Smith Ferry Road, East Liverpool, and Chaz Cunningham, 19, of 203 Malvernan St., East Liverpool, after they were stopped at Mahoning Avenue and Westchester Drive.
Recovered property: A wallet was recovered at Fashion Bug, 6000 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: A purse was stolen at McDonald’s restaurant, 1709 S. Raccoon Road.
Burglary: Police charged Matthew Lombel, 29, of 6474 S. Timberidge, and Randal Lloyd, 40, of 518 W. Earle Ave., Youngstown, with burglary charges in the 500 block of Westgate Boulevard.

Theft: A GPS was taken from a vehicle but was later located in the yard at a home in the 3000 block of Edinburgh Drive.
Theft: A CD and personal clothing items were taken from an auto parked in the 3000 block of Cannon Road. Some items were located in the yard.
Recovered property: A woman’s wallet and its contents were recovered at New Road and Moorefield Avenue.
Criminal damaging: Tires were cut on a vehicle parked at an apartment in the 4000 block of Westchester Drive.
Burglary: There was no forced entry in a burglary at an apartment in the 1000 block of Fountain Square.
Theft: Police charged Megan Young, 30, of 407 State Road NW, Warren, with theft at Walmart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.

Drug offense: Police charged John Noble, 58, of 3832 Eigen St., with possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop at Mahoning Avenue and Wickliffe Circle.
Auto theft/recovered property: A 1998 Chevrolet Lumina was stolen at Pilot Oil, 1150 N. Canfield-Niles Road and later recovered by Youngstown police.
Menacing: A man is accused of menacing at a home in the 3000 block of South Raccoon Road.
Criminal mischief: A trailer was spray-painted at Lloyd Elementary School, 5705 Norquest Blvd.
Breaking and entering: Copper waterlines were taken from a home in the 5000 block of Heron Boulevard.
Attempted burglary: A screen was cut with a pen on the second floor of an apartment in the 4000 block of Mahoning Avenue.
Warrant: Richard White Jr., Youngstown-Hubbard Road, Youngstown, was picked up at Portage County jail on a warrant charging failure to appear on a possession-of-drugs charge issued from Mahoning County Area Court here.

Dumping: A male suspect is accused of dumping at a home in the 2000 block of Birch Trace Drive.
Theft: A park bench was stolen and recovered damaged and burned at Davidson’s Restaurant, 3636 Canfield Road.
Burglary: A camcorder was taken from a home in the 5000 block of Winthrop Drive.
Recovered property: A Sony digital camera was recovered in the 5000 block of Kirk Road.
Drug offense: Police charged Brittany Morgan, 20, of 1061 Perkinswood Boulevard SE, Warren, with possession of drug instruments, drug paraphernalia, possession of dangerous drugs, including Trazodone, and drug abuse of Klonopin at Woodside Elementary School, 4105 Elmwood Ave.
Criminal damaging: A vehicle window was damaged in the 100 block of North Canfield-Niles Road.
Domestic violence: Police charged David Priest, 24, of 4696 New Road, with domestic violence after an incident at his home.
Aug. 19
Criminal trespass: Dawna Martin, 25, no address listed, was released on a summons on a charge of criminal trespass at the Pilot Truck lot, 1150 N. Canfield-Niles Road.
Disorderly conduct: Police issued two summonses to John Winwood, 39, of 131 N. Kimberly Ave., charging disorderly conduct and resisting arrest at Baker Street and Kimberly Avenue.
Theft: A check was taken at a home in the 5000 block of Radcliffe Avenue.
Criminal damaging: Pellet holes were made in the siding of a home in the 4000 block of Barrington Drive.
Fraud: A $600 debit transaction was reported against an account at Farmer’s National Bank, 22 N. Canfield-Niles Road.
Burglary: Police charged Tracy Monteneri, 41, of 6373 Mahoning Ave., Warren, with burglary. Police said she stole girls Nike shoes from a garage at a home in the 5000 block of Winslow Drive.
Theft: A wallet was stolen from an auto parked at Meridian Arms, 650 S. Meridian Road.

Aggravated menacing: A woman was victim of menacing at a home in the 4000 block of Kirk Road.
Theft: Coins were stolen from a home in the 2000 block of Innwood Drive.
Warrant: Police arrested Tara Atwood, 21, of 3239 Lewis-Seifert Road, Hubbard, on a warrant charging failure to appear on a case out of Campbell Municipal Court. She was stopped at Mahoning and Navarre avenues.
Theft: A Visa debit card was stolen at a home in the 200 block of North Roanoke Ave.
Drug offense: Police charged Thomas J. Spicker II, 20, of 257 N. Main St., with drug abuse of marijuana after his arrest at North Main Street and Oakwood Avenue.

Theft: Police charged Joseph Mix, 24, of 1211 Cavalcade Drive, in a theft from Walmart.
Criminal damaging: A vehicle and a mailbox were damaged at a home in the 6000 block of Fairview Avenue.
Disorderly conduct: Police issued a summons to David A. Devellin, 23, of 9914 West Hill Drive, Canfield, charging disorderly conduct at the Austintown Plaza, 6000 Mahoning Ave.
