Christian music festival Sunday

YOUNGSTOWN

Jammin’ For Jesus, a free outdoor music festival, will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Fairview Arts and Outreach Center, 4220 Youngstown-Poland Road, with several local Christian artists performing, including Carla Gipson, Jenah Ross, Rachell Joy, Julie Palumbo, Kelley Williams and Diane Karabin, Britney Storey, Julie and Jordan Stone, Angel Febrez, Asia Littlejohn, Don Priester, Anthony Villa, Dominic DiTommaso, Ariel Green, and Raising Change. Food and children’s activities will be featured. The event is sponsored by Lost then Found Ministries, Top Hat Productions, The Jericho Project and The Salvation Army.

Talent, fashion show seeks performers

Performers are being sought for a back-to-school talent and fashion show at 6 p.m. Sept. 18 at the Metroplex Hotel on Belmont Avenue. The first-place winner will receive $200; second place, $100; and third place, $75. To register, as an individual or a group, call 330-720-2485.

The show will be broadcast on cable channel 9 in Youngstown and 15 in Warren. Admission to the event is $5 at the door.

Bus tour to historic homes in Trumbull

YOUNGSTOWN

The Mahoning Valley Historical Society’s next History to Go program, Truckin’ Through Trumbull, will be Sept. 12 and will feature three historic homes in Trumbull County.

MVHS is providing bus service to the John Stark Edwards House in Warren, the Ward Thomas House in Niles and the Barnhisel House in Girard.

The charter bus will leave the Arms Family Museum, 648 Wick Ave., at 12:30 p.m. and return at approximately 5:30 p.m. Cost is $20 per person. A brief history of the houses and the families will be discussed en-route.
