Baroque ensemble in Vivaldi concert
YOUNGSTOWN
A chamber ensemble from the Cleveland Baroque | Orchestra will perform at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 18 at Trinity United Methodist Church, 30 W. Front St., downtown. The program will feature the music of Vivaldi and the less-familiar works of his colleagues in the baroque period. The concert will be performed on period instruments in an intimate setting. Tickets are $10 ($5 for students); call 330-744-5032. A preconcert lecture by Randy Goldberg of Dana School of Music will begin at 7 p.m. in the Chapel of Friendly Bells at the church. It is free with a ticket.
Trumbull Seniors in ‘On With Show’
CORTLAND
The Trumbull Senior Production Company will present “On With the Show” at 7 p.m. Sept. 11 and 2 p.m. Sept. 12 at Lakeview High School auditorium. The production, directed by Jason Burgermyer, will feature the Diamond Dancers and Silver Stars Chorus Dancers and singers, ventriloquist Bill Lisby and the Chords of Appeal women’s barbershop quartet. Also performing will be soloists Carol Bovee, Bill Luzar, Jeannie Trask, Glenn VanKennel, Bill Smith, Rich Ogden and Mickie VanKell. Belly dancer Lana VanAuker and comedy skits will round out the performances. Tickets are $10 ($8 for groups of 10 or more) and can be purchased at the Trumbull Senior Production Company Studio at 3323 Parkman Road NW, Warren.
