Annual dahlia show to be two day event

YOUNGSTOWN

Mahoning Valley Dahlia Society will host a dahlia show from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Davis Center at Fellows Riverside Gardens in Mill Creek Park.

Harriet Chandler and Jim Chuey are in charge of the show, which will feature a large number of artistic arrangements, and dahlias in the novice, small grower, large grower and open class.

There will also be a section for exhibitors 16 years of age or younger.

The exhibit must be a single bloom and at least one set of leaves.

Accredited judges will select blooms for special awards and for the Court of Honor.
