Maughan 50th is celebrated at dinner party

CANFIELD

Mr. and Mrs. Larry Maughan of Canfield celebrated their 50th anniversary during a dinner party on July 31 at Alberini’s Restaurant in Boardman.

In attendance were their children and their spouses, Tracy and John Pflugh of Canfield, Brian and Jen Maughan of Hilliard, and Kristen Maughan of Fallston, Md.; their grandchildren, Alissa and Sean Kelty and Andrew and Allison Maughan; and their close friends.

The former Bonnie Taylor and Mr. Maughan were married Sept. 17, 1960, at Resurrection Lutheran Church in Detroit, where he worked for General Motors. They moved to Canfield in 1975 and are members of Canfield United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Maughan retired in 2002 from Canfield Schools. She is a member of Curves. Mr. Maughan is employed as an accountant by the Cafaro Co.

The Maughans will compete their anniversary celebration with a trip to Niagara Falls, Canada, in September.
