Family event set for Strobles on anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Stroble of Boardman will observe their 50th wedding anniversary during a family gathering on Sept. 5.

Mr. Stroble and the former Marilouise Cifaldi were married on that date in 1960 at St. Charles Church, where they are members.

Their family includes Marie and John Discerni of Scottsdale, Ariz.; Calvin III and Pam Stroble of Henderson, Nev.; and Ann and Stephen Brandt of Canfield; and three grandchildren, Emily and Quinn Discerni and Marley Brandt.

Mrs. Stroble retired from her position as a teacher at St. Luke Elementary School in Youngstown and is an eucharistic minister.

Mr. Stroble served as a medical corpsman with the U.S. Navy and was a self-employed artist prior to retiring. He is a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society and the Soup Kitchen Ministry.
