Author to conduct two book signings

Inspirational author Kim Vogel Sawyer will make two stops in the area during a book signing tour to promote her newest release, “In Every Heartbeat.”

On Tuesday, she will be at the Lion and Lamb Christian Resources, 145 South Broadway in Salem from 1 to 3 p.m., and from 7 to 9 p.m. she will be at the Lion and Lamb Christian Resources near J.C. Penney in the Eastwood Mall, 5555 Youngstown-Warren Road, Niles.

Her newest story revolves around three friends who grew up in an orphanage and head off to college, each with a special plan for the future. However, as tensions arise around the world, the friends find their differing aspirations and opinions begin to draw them apart.

Dr. DiDomenico is guest editor

Dr. Lawrence A. DiDomenico, managing partner at Ankle & Foot Care Centers, served as the guest editor of a new book, “The Rheumatoid Foot and Ankle.” The book explores advances in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis in the lower extremities.

Included among the scholarly articles in the 353-page book is one by Dr. DiDomenico and two other surgeons on total ankle replacements, a feasible and effective treatment for ankle arthritis.

The book is part of the “Clinics” series published by Elsevier Inc., to educate physicians and other medical professionals about the benefits of new procedures. It is available at www.elsevier.com and other online bookstores.
