HIGH SCHOOL BAND NIGHTS


Austintown

Fitch High School will host its annual band night at 7 p.m. Aug. 30. Five area bands will perform. Cost is $5 for adults, $4 for students and free for senior citizens. Handicap parking is available. Concessions will be open.

Boardman

The Boardman Spartan Marching Band and Boardman Band and Orchestra Parents Inc. will host Boardman Band Night ’10 at 7 p.m. Sept. 11 at Boardman Stadium. Participating high school bands include Springfield, Lowellville, West Branch, Austintown, Canfield, and the Boardman Spartan Marching Band. Admission at the gates is $5 for adults and $3 for students. Senior citizens are admitted free to all Boardman band events. Gates open at 6 p.m.

CANFIELD

The 36th annual Canfield High School Show of Bands will be at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 31 at Cardinal Stadium, 100 Cardinal Drive. Adults are $5, students and seniors are $3 and children under 5 are free. All proceeds will benefit the Canfield High School band department.

Hubbard

The Hubbard High School Marching Band presents its annual band night at 7:30 Wednesday at the Hubbard football stadium. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for senior citizens and students. Along with the Musical Pride of Hubbard, enjoy a night of marching and music from the bands of Brookfield, Champion, LaBrae and Liberty.

Liberty

Liberty High School will host band night at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 1 at the Liberty High School Stadium. Scheduled to perform are: Girard “Indians” Marching Band, Howland “Tigers” Marching Band, Mathews “Mustangs” Marching Band, Hubbard “Eagles” Marching Band, Warren G. Harding “Raider” Marching Band and Liberty “Golden Leopard” Marching Band. Tickets at the gate only. Ticket prices are $5 for adults, $3 for children age 4 to 17 and free for senior citizens and children 3 and under.

Mineral ridge

The Mineral Ridge High School Marching Band will host its 10th annual Show of Bands at 7 p.m. next Saturday at the Joe Lane Sports Complex in Mineral Ridge. The band night will feature marching bands from several communities including Mathews, Niles, Jackson-Milton, Lowellville and Mineral Ridge. Each band will perform a variety of songs and formations in a preview to what will be seen during the halftime shows of area football games. Ticket prices are $5 for adults and $4 for students and senior citizens. Children 5 and under are admitted for free.

Niles

McKinley High School’s band night will be at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 31 at Bo Rein Stadium.

VIENNA

Mathews Music Boosters and the Mathews Marching Mustangs will host an array of entertaining marching styles performed by area bands at the 16th annual Mathews Band Night at 7 p.m. Sept. 15 at the Booster Field on Sheridan Drive off state Route 193. Tickets will be available at the door for $5 each. Seniors can attend for $3.50, and preschool children will be admitted free.
