What’s this world coming to?

What’s this world coming to?

We’ve entered a new era of craziness. Here is a wife from the Cleveland area, a mother of two little boys, who finds out that her husband was married to another woman in a fairy tale-setting wedding. Imagine searching the Internet to learn your life is not what you thought it was. Then to have him come back and beg and say it’s not true. Then he loads up your children, and takes off to another state, to the other woman. What must he have told the children about where their Mommy was?

She goes on a national TV show, saying please help me. The next day, he goes on the same show, and says that his marriage to her was not valid. It was valid enough for him file taxes with her, to get bank loans, to get mail as Mr. and Mrs., to have their children’s birth certificates, stating he was her spouse, father to them.

Well, here are the major problems. If he is legally married to both of them, that is bigamy. And if he isn’t, then he needs to be charged with kidnapping. Under Ohio law, if an unmarried woman gives birth to a child, even if the child carries the father’s last name, she has full custody until otherwise decided by an Ohio court. So, if the marriage is invalid, that makes her unmarried.

Police in this matter were under the impression that the couple was married, and he had every right to take the children. So, police departments, get a copy of 3109.042. There is a law, follow it.

So who has jurisdiction? Ohio, the parent state, where the mother and children live, or the state where they are hiding under the guise of being a married couple with children that they have stolen. We also need for states to be on board together instead of fighting against each other.

Return Lynn France’s children to her, and the others involved need to be arrested for kidnapping. Ohio stands up for the rights of her children.
