Salem theater offers dance, voice lessons

The Salem Community Theatre, 490 E. State St., will offer dance, voice and choral lessons for age 3 and up (including adults).

Registration will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the theater.

The instructors will be present. Classes will include ballet, jazz/hip-hop, tap, tumbling, teen theater, private voice, private dance, youth chorus and children’s chorus. Call 330-332-9688.

Church will sponsor free health fair

Pilgrim Baptist Church, 67 McClure St., will sponsor a health fair from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday. Displays will be presented by the American Cancer Society, Akron Children’s Hospital, Youngstown State University dietitians, Struthers Fire Department, LifeBanc organ donations and Sojourner House, and there will be blood-pressure screenings. There also will be face-painting for children.

A clothes giveaway is scheduled from noon to 2 p.m. Both events are free and open to the public. The Rev. Lee T. Rucker Jr. is host pastor.
