Discover Aviation Picnic and Corn Roast Fly-In in New Castle

The Experimental Aviation Association Chapter 117 is having a Discover Aviation Picnic and Corn Roast Fly-In at New Castle Municipal Airport.

The picnic will be Aug. 28 at the New Castle Municipal Airport from noon to 4:30 p.m. Access to the airport, in Union Township, is from U.S. Routes 422 or 224 or Pa. Route 60.

A fly-in is similar to a bike night, only for airplanes, the association explained.

The public is invited.

Admission and corn on the cob are free. For sale will be sausage sandwiches, sirloin burgers, hot dogs, desserts and beverages.

The picnic will include several exhibits.

Titan Aircraft's T51 ¾-scale replica of the World War II P51 Mustang fighter airplane, World War I replicas and model craft will be exhibited. The event also will include a book signing and a raffle for a flight.
