Ohio board denies condemned man's innocence claim

COLUMBUS (AP) — The Ohio Parole Board has rejected clemency for a condemned killer of three who says he’s innocent in the 1994 shooting.

The board today unanimously rejected the plea for mercy by Kevin Keith, saying no real new evidence was presented and that any reasonable person would conclude Keith is guilty.

The board sent its recommendation to Gov. Ted Strickland, who has the final say. The 46-year-old Keith is scheduled to be executed Sept. 15.
