Fugitive arrested in wake of theft investigation
LIBERTY
Police charged Carl T. Fisher, 29, of the 200 block of South Main Street in Youngstown, with carrying a concealed weapon and petty theft after an incident around 9 p.m. Tuesday at Wal-Mart in Liberty Plaza on Belmont Avenue.
Police said store security saw Fisher remove security wires from cameras, and put the cameras in the purse of his 24-year-old female companion.
When Fisher was stopped and searched, two razor knives were found in the pocket of his shorts.
Fisher also is wanted on an fugitive warrant in Mahoning County Area Court in Boardman.
He was taken to Trumbull County Jail pending arraignment.
