Johnny Appleseed queen contest set

LISBON

Young women between the ages of 15 and 20 are eligible to enter the Johnny Appleseed Queen competition to be judged at 3 p.m. Aug. 29 at Lisbon United Methodist Church.

Applications are available at Lisbon Chamber of Commerce, 203 N. Market St., or online at www.lisbonareachamber.com, and must be postmarked by Friday.

Judges will be Scott Rogers, president of Ohio Valley College of Technology; Atty. Jennifer Gorby of Salem; and Shannon Stamp Kleinman of Spanky’s Winery in Salem.

Prizes for queen finalists are being provided by the Ohio Valley College of Technology and Bruster’s Ice Cream, and will include travel by limousine to a finalist dinner at East Liverpool Motor Lodge. The queen will receive a gift certificate from Pam’s Detailing and More in Calcutta.
