84-year-old woman killed in Cleveland-area house fire

CUYAHOGA HEIGHTS, Ohio (AP) — An 84-year-old Ohio woman who used a wheelchair has been killed in a house fire near Cleveland.

The coroner identifies the victim of this morning’s fire as Patricia Ezzo of Cuyahoga Heights.

Neighbors say she used a wheelchair and an oxygen tank, which may have been the source of an explosion heard at the time of the fire. An autopsy has been ordered.

Police Lt. Michael Stack says girls having a sleepover across the street heard the pre-dawn explosion and called 911. Police officers who arrived first were kept away by the flames.
