MEDINA, Ohio

A second young sister has died of apparent heat stroke after being found last week in a neighbor’s hot car in Northeast Ohio.

MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland says 3-year-old Mary McCormick of York Township in Medina County died Monday evening.

Her 2-year-old sister died shortly after the two were found in the car Thursday amid outside temperatures in the 80s.

Authorities say the sisters ran off from their baby sitters and got stuck inside a neighbor’s car. The parents were working at a county fair.
