Dinner to benefit Dereon North
YOUNGSTOWN
A spaghetti dinner is scheduled for 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Father Snock Center, 2800 Shady Run Road, as a benefit for Dereon North, who has been paralyzed from the neck down since June 8. She is in intensive therapy at Children’s Institute in Pittsburgh.
She is the youngest child to ever have a diaphramatic pacer placed in her chest. Her parents are involved in her constant care and are being taught how to care for Dereon when she finally makes the transition to home.
