A 30-year-old city man is in Mahoning County jail on more than $100,000 bond after police say he shot at two women multiple times as they drove past his home.
Keewan Hopkins, 30, of West Warren Avenue, was arraigned Monday before Judge Elizabeth Kobly of Youngstown Municipal Court on charges of felonious assault, aggravated menacing and falsification.
Hopkins asked for a low bond so he could be released from jail to take care of an elderly grandmother, but Judge Kobly set bond at $108,500 collectively on the charges.
According to police, Hopkins’ former girlfriend and another woman were riding past a West Ravenwood home where Hopkins was staying earlier this month when Hopkins jumped from a porch and fired six shots at the car they were driving.
There was no damage to the car and no injuries to the women.
