Motorcycle and truck collide in Jackson Township

NORTH JACKSON

A motorcyclist was taken by helicopter to St. Elizabeth Health Center on Monday after he hit a truck on state Route 45 in Jackson Township.

The man was traveling south on Route 45 around 4:30 p.m. A pick-up truck hauling construction materials was driving the opposite direction and turning left onto Gladstone Road when the cyclist struck the truck’s back corner, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The truck’s driver was not injured and the crash is still under investigation, the patrol said.
