In preparation for its Oct. 10 public meeting, the Alliance for Congregational Transformation Influencing Our Neighborhoods plans an issue convention at 7 p.m. Aug. 31 at the Choffin Career Center, 200 E. Wood St.
The ACTION session will determine issues to be addressed and provide an update on projects. Participants are encouraged to bring 10 other leaders to the meeting, at which committees will be formed.
The Rev. Dr. Lewis W. Macklin II is ACTION chairman of the board, and the Revs. Rosalyne Martin and Joe Feta are co-chairmen for the clergy caucus.
‘Warren Works’ to feature downtown

The Trumbull Art Gallery is seeking artists to portray downtown in a Warren Posters Holiday Exhibit to be Nov. 20 through Jan. 7 at the gallery.
The show, “Warren Works,” will feature posters designed and created by area artists and graphic designers.
To enter the exhibit, artists should send one CD that includes no more than two entries. Images should be saved in high-quality JPEG format in 24-by-36-inch proportion, 300 dpi. Artists may use the “Warren Works” theme or a theme of their own.
The entry fee is $30 per CD. Entries must be received by Nov. 2. The original work will remain the property of the artist. The first poster print will be owned by TAG. Copies will be sold by the gallery for the artists. The show will be juried. Cash prizes will be awarded.
