The Newton Falls Police Department will host its first “Fill a Cruiser With School Supplies” event from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today in the city hall parking lot. The department will accept donations of school supplies and money to go toward the School Resource Officer Program.

All school supplies will be divided up between the public schools and later will be disbursed on an as-needed basis at the discretion of the schools.

Antique-tractor show

The Antique Tractor Club of Trumbull County’s summer show will be Friday through Aug. 22 at 1653 Ridge Road. The show begins at 8 a.m. and continues until dark each day.

There is no charge Friday and a $3 charge Saturday and Aug. 22. Children younger than 12 and all exhibitors get in free.

Pedal tractors for the children to pull a custom-made sled also will be featured.

Garden tractors will pull Saturday, with antique tractors pulling a large sled Aug. 22. To participate in a pull, individuals must be club members but may join that weekend.

A book sale, auction, petting zoo and flea market also are included.
