Mary Angeline and Richard J. Goldfarb, both of Boulder, Colo., were united in marriage during a 3 p.m. civil ceremony on Aug. 9 at the Monte Carlo Hotel and Casino Chapel.

Attendants at the wedding were the groom’s children, Lindsey Goldfarb, the maid of honor, and Scott Goldfarb, the best man.

The bride, who is known as “Lulu,” is a daughter of Mary and Dominic Buzzacco of Youngstown. She is a professor of English at the University of Northern Colorado, where she teaches literature and writing and is co-director of an interdisciplinary program for the University College called “Life of the Mind.” She graduated from Brown University with a master’s degree in fine arts.

Parents of the groom are Harriette and Melvin Goldfarb of Somers, N.Y., and Boyton Beach, Fla. A senior research scientist for the U.S. Geological Survey in Denver. He received a doctorate from the University of Colorado and is an adjunct professor of geology at the University of Western Australia, China University of Geosciencs-Beijing, and Colorado State University.
