Family marks Morey 50th at dinner party

Mr. and Mrs. Steve Morey of Poland were honored by their family on Aug. 14 during a dinner party at Alberini’s in Boardman as they celebrated the 50th anniversary of the wedding.

Hosts for the event were their children and their spouses, Laura Morey of Cincinnati and her friend, Lori Gray; Steven C. and Lisa Morey of Bainbridge, Ohio; and Erik and Julie Morey of Columbus. Their family includes four grandchildren, Katharine, Julia, Peter and Jack Morey.

On Aug. 20, 1960, the former Carol DeFelice and Mr. Morey were united in marriage at St. Patrick Church in Youngstown. They are members of Holy Family Church.

Mrs. Morey, a homemaker, is a member of Holy Family choir and contemporary group and a past member of Youngstown Symphony Chorus.

In 1998 Mr. Morey retired from Commercial Intertech after 41 years of service as a manufacturing process engineer. He is a part-time flight engineer with New Era Technology Inc., and is a member of Holy Family choir and a past member of Seraphim Chorus, Youngstown Symphony Chorus and the board of the American Red Cross.
