Dinner party honors Bienkos on anniversary

CANFIELD

Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Victor Bienko of Canfield celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary during a private dinner party on Aug. 14 at the home of a daughter and son-in-law, Judge Mary and Stephen DeGenaro of Poland.

In addition to the hosts their family includes Daniel and Mary Bienko of El Cajon, Calif., and Belinda and Bud Skergic of Hartford, along with their five grandchildren, Steven, Tony, Daniel, Victor II, Alexandra and Emma.

The former Mavourneen Rose Groghan and Mr. Bienko were united in marriage Aug. 12, 1960, at St. Joseph Church (Collinwood) Cleveland. They are members of St. Michael Church.

Mrs. Bienko is an eucharistic minister and a member of the church altar guild and the RSVP Stitchers.

Mr. Bienko served as an officer in the U.S. Navy with the Sound Surveillance System. He was employed as a registered architect with B&B Contractors and Developers in Youngstown and is semi-retired. He is a member of the American Institute of Architecture and the National Council of Architectural Review Board, and is district chairman of the Austintown, Boardman and Canfield Water System.
