Dave Blaney out at PRISM Motorsports
BROOKLYN, Mich.
Scott Riggs has replaced Dave Blaney in the No. 66 Toyota for PRISM Motorsports, effective this weekend at Michigan, according to a story on Autoweek.com.
Team co-owners Phil Parsons and Randy Humphrey used Blaney to get their new team started, then turned it into a start-and-park team. S&Ps are used by underfunded teams that decide to bring a car to the race track, qualify it into the show, run a few laps, park the car for the rest of the race and collect the purse for coming in last or thereabouts.
Blaney, a Hartford native who owns Sharon Speedway, missed five of the first 22 races and has finished 16 times in the 30s and 40s.
Riggs didn’t make the cut for today’s Carfax 400, finishing 46th in qualifying.
