A Youngstown man trying to flee a traffic stop was Tasered, and police found what they suspect is crack cocaine and heroin in his car, a report says.

Antwan Hunt, 22, of Parkview Avenue, is free after posting $2,500 bond and was set to appear for arraignment in Campbell Municipal Court today. He is charged with drug possession, going the wrong way on a one-way street and obstructing official business.

Police sent the suspected crack and heroin to a lab, and other charges are pending, the report says.

Police said Hunt was pulled over for driving the wrong way on Robinson Road.

The report said that when the officer approached the car, he could smell marijuana.

Hunt denied having any in the car but then reached into a console and pulled out a small bag of what appeared to be marijuana. He gave it to the officer, the report said.

Another officer arrived, and Hunt and a passenger were ordered out of the car. Hunt tried to run and was Tasered in his arm, the report says.

Police said they found $1,736 in Hunt’s pants pocket along with a bag containing seven smaller bags of the suspected crack and nine smaller bags of the suspected heroin.

Paramedics removed Taser prongs from Hunt’s arm, and his passenger was released, the report says.
