Poland leads 5-4 in third inning

PORTLAND, Ore.

The Poland 11-12 Little League softball team scored two runs in the first inning and three in the second in Thursday night’s World Series opener against Texas.

But Texas, representing Southwest Region, scored four times in the third inning to cut Poland’s lead to 5-4.

For Poland, Claire Testa scored two runs while Abby Masluk, Ally Deemer and Madison Rowe scored once as Poland led 5-0 in the second inning.
