Poland defeats Puerto Rico, 7-4

PORTLAND, Ore. — Abby Masluk, Ally Deemer, Jenna Schletter, Dani Rutana and Cara Kalouris each had a hit and scored a run as the Poland 11-12 Little League softball team won its second straight World Series game.

Claire Testa scattered eight hits as Poland defeated Puerto Rico, 7-4, at the Little League World Series.

Poland (2-0) leads the five-team Pool A and will play the unbeaten team from Burbank, Calif., on Sunday. Poland closes pool play on Monday against Canada.

The top two teams in each pool advance to Tuesday’s semifinals which will be televised by ESPN2.
