Trash and treasure

Sacred Heart Church, 400 Lincoln Park Drive, Youngstown, is having a Trash & Treasure sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday at the church. For information, call the church at 330-747-6080.

Trunk sale

Trumbull New Theatre Women’s Committee will stage a trunk sale in the parking lot of TNT, 5883 Youngstown Road, Niles, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 21. Parking spaces are $15 per vehicle or two spaces for $25 (nonrefundable). Vendors are invited to load up a car trunk with items, park in their reserved spot and sell their wares. All of the profit is the vendor’s to keep. Setup will begin at 7 a.m.

All $15 payments must be received before the sale. Spaces are limited and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Deadline to register is Saturday. Proceeds will benefit Trumbull New Theatre.

Free concert

The Nazarene Church choir, the Naz Worship Team, will perform in East Palestine City Park at 7 p.m. today. Refreshments will be available.

Benefit dance

The Lawrence County Animal Relief Fund is sponsoring a dance to benefit the organization. The dance, which is for people age 21 and older, is set for 8 to 11 p.m. today at Cascade Park on East Washington Street in New Castle, Pa.

Admission is $10 per person and includes coffee and dessert. Music will be by The Dorals, and there will be dance contests and prizes.
