District governor visits Austintown Rotary
Making the rounds: At its Aug. 9 meeting the Rotary Club of Austintown welcomed, at right, District 6650 Governor Jim Russell of Newcomerstown, who is attempting to fulfill his obligation to visit the 48 clubs in the district during his tenure. He has 19 more clubs to visit. Russell told how he became involved in Rotary and presented a video, “Engaging With Rotary,” that showed how each member moves within the 33,000 clubs worldwide. He asked members to work on meaningful projects, to build memberships, to support the Rotary Foundation and to support the worldwide distribution of lit kits. When she joined Russell after his talk, Susan Leetch, club president, presented the speaker with a gift and a book to be donated in his name to Woodside Library.
