Alzheimer’s education
The Alzheimer’s Association — Greater East Ohio Area Chapter’s Community Council, is presenting a free education program.
The topic, “Maintain Your Brain,” will address how to live a brain-healthy life and help reduce the risk of Alzheimer’s.
The program will take place at 2 p.m. Thursday at 7206 market St. Suite B, Boardman (Grace Hospice and Visiting Physician offices). RSVPs are requested; call Tina Goynes at 330-533-3300 or e-mail Tina.Goynes@alz.org.
The association is a group of professionals in the local community who have joined forces to increase awareness of Alzheimer’s disease and provide effective support and knowledge to those diagnosed with dementia and their caregivers.
Parking-lot sale
Ursuline Center, 4250 Shields Road, Canfield, is seeking participants for its car trunk and treasure sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday in the parking lot.
Sellers can rent parking spaces for $20 each. A book, food and furniture sale will be inside the center.
