Downed tree in Pennsylvania leads to Amtrak delays

TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — Amtrak says it has fixed a signal problem that left hundreds of rail riders facing delays between New York City and Philadelphia on Wednesday.

Amtrak spokeswoman Vernae Graham says a downed tree near Morrisville, Pa., caused a power outage around 5:30 a.m.

Graham says that caused delays of up to 90 minutes between Manhattan and Philadelphia. It also forced Amtrak to cancel three trains and terminate others in Philadelphia.

NJ Transit, meanwhile, says there is no service between Trenton and New Brunswick.
