Greek dancers will perform at local event

Minas Katsantouris, a native of Greece, will be the featured dancer in USA Dance’s “Big Fat Greek Wedding” dinner-dance Aug. 22.

Katsantouris, with his partner Rachel Neilson. is a champion ballroom dancer, choreographer and instructor.

The event will also include Athenian Dancers, who are part of the Maids of Athena, Diana Chapter.

USA Dance’s Youngstown-Warren chapter is sponsoring the dinner-dance at the Orthodox Center, 1025 N. Belle Vista Ave.

It will begin with dancing at 4:30 p.m. Dinner will be served at 5:30 p.m. with the show to follow.

A rumba dance lesson with Stephen Sobat of Studio One will precede the event at 3 p.m., and the Athenian Dancers will give a Greek dance lesson at 4 p.m.
