Bankruptcy judge approves sale of Forum Health

YOUNGSTOWN — The sale of bankrupt Forum Health to Community Health Systems for $120 million was approved today by U.S. Bankrupty Judge Kay Woods.

The sale was approved, contingent upon submission to the court of a formal motion later today by Forum Health attorneys.

Several objections to the sale, including one by the Ohio Nurses Association Youngstown General Duty Nurses Association at Northside Medical Center, were resolved or withdrawn.

Judge Woods declared CHS’s offer the highest and best bid and that it meets the standards of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code.
