James Robert Moore and the former Annie Michelle Houk left on a Caribbean cruise following their June 18 wedding at Emmanuel Lutheran Church and reception at The Georgetown in Boardman.
The daughter of George and Dr. Kathleen Houk of Poland and son of Robert and Susan Moore of Canfield exchanged nuptial vows during a 2:30 p.m. ceremony officiated by the Rev. Amanda Raymond.
The bride’s strapless white satin princess-style gown featured a laced-up back and a semicathedral train. It was embellished with crystal and pearl beading and harvest gold embroidery.
Grape-colored gowns were worn by Katie Marie Houk, the bride’s sister and honor attendant, and the bridesmaids, Cate Donald, Nora Jamison, Megan Molnar, and Alice Toriello-Weeks; and the bride’s cousins and junior bridesmaids, Abigail and Rebecca Catlos. Flower girls were Kendall Maughn and Courtney Helle, the bride’s cousins.
Christopher Rhodes was best man, and junior best men were the groom’s sons, James and John Moore. Groomsmen were Timothy Hum; Ralph Wince and Michael Kersten, the groom’s cousins; and Erik Hively.
The bride is employed by Western Reserve Schools as a middle and high school French teacher in Berlin Center. She graduated from Hiram College with a degree in French education and is pursuing a master’s degree in school counseling at Malone University.
The groom graduated from Ohio University with a degree in environmental geography and is the self-employed owner/operator of Moore Farms, Canfield.
The couple live at the groom’s family farm.
