Quite a development: Ross Atkins, Cleveland Indians Director of Player Development, was in attendance at Saturday night’s 9-6 win over Aberdeen. Atkins is responsible for all personnel decisions regarding the Tribe’s minor league system.

New addition: Right-handed pitcher Michael Goodnight has been added to the roster. Goodnight is a 13th round draft pick in this June’s Major League draft from the University of Houston. He will wear number 43.

Artificial rain delay: The game was delayed briefly in the third inning when the Eastwood Field sprinkler system went off. Play was delayed while head groundskeeper Dan Striko rushed to turn off the sprinklers.
