Giambattistas celebrate 50th anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Mike Giambattisa of Boardman celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary during a family dinner July 18 at Davidson’s Restaurant in Cornersburg.

Hosts for the event were their children and their spouses, Mark and Shelly Giambattista of Boardman, Lisa and Tom Onesti of Medina, Michael and Jackie Giambattista of Canfield, and Gina Giambattista of Poland. Their family includes six grandchildren, Brittani, Ryan, Michael, Jamie, Alli and Emily.

The former Anita Dutch and Mr. Giambattista were united in marriage on July 9, 1960, at St. Dominic Church in Youngstown, where they are members.

Mrs. Giambattista was a registered X-ray technologist, specializing in mammography, until retiring in 1999.

Mr. Giambattista retired in 1997 after teaching for 37 years at Ursuline High School. He is employed part-time by Parker Hannifin.
