The library doesn’t need a beach to throw a summertime party.
Poland library hosted a Beach Party July 22 for kids of all ages. There was no sand in sight, but the afternoon was full of beach-themed activities and games. The party began with two book readings followed by beach bingo. Usually there is no running in the library, but kids were allowed to scramble to corners of its meeting room in a game of, “Four Corners.” The library attendees left the beach party with shark hats they colored and shark teeth necklaces they made with paper, yarn and Kellogg’s Fruit Loops.
