Speak out against Oakhillgate

As a resident, taxpayer, citizen and voter in the Mahoning Valley, I am truly appalled by the silence of the Mahoning Valley political, business, religious and social communities regarding Oakhillgate and the seven people indicted on serious charges of corruption.

Though all are innocent until proven guilty, I and many Mahoning Valley residents believe the very silence by community leaders only reinforces our beloved Valley’s image of corruption to our state, nation and world. And the best and only person some TV news outlets could find to speak out on Oahkillgate was former Attorney General Marc Dann?

I and many residents, taxpayers, citizens and voters truly believe if the Mahoning Valley is ever going to change its image of fraud and corruption, the voices in our state and across our Mahoning Valley must not be silent (and run for the hills). They must speak up and be truly appalled regarding Oakhillgate and other corruption in our Valley.

The silent voices that must truly speak out now are our governor, congressmen, state senators, state representatives, mayors, city councils, township trustees, political parties, precinct committee members, clergy, business leaders, and most importantly the great, honest, hardworking, and decent residents, taxpayers, citizens, and voters of the Mahoning Valley who have had enough of corrupt politics as usual.
