Lawrence Co. woman in satisfactory condition after traffic accident


NESHANNOCK, Pa. — An Edinburg, Pa., woman was in satisfactory condition today at St. Elizabeth Health Center, Youngstown, after a traffic crash.

About 2 p.m. Thursday, township police and fire and Noga Emergency Medical Service were dispatched to Pulaski Road. Rebecca Jean Grotzinger of Edinburg was trapped in her vehicle. Emergency crews got her out and she was transported to St. Elizabeth.

The driver of the other vehicle, Santos W. Torres of New Castle, was walking around after the accident but had moderate injuries, police said.

He was taken to Jameson Memorial Hospital, but no information about his condition was available.

The accident remains under investigation.
