ASSOCIATIONS

Yo-Mah-O Chapter of the International Association of Administrative Professionals will meet at 6 p.m. Aug. 19 at the Beard Cabin in Boardman Township Park. Girard Golden Eagles will meet at 2 p.m. Sunday at Girard Free Library, 105 E. Prospect St.

McDonald Midget Football Association will meet at 7 p.m. Sunday in the senior citizens room at the post office building.

McDonald Sideliners will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the high school.

AUXILIARIES

ITAM Post 3 Ladies Auxiliary will have a picnic and meeting at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the center, on Meridian Road. Chicken and beverages will be provided. Members are asked to take a casserole, salad or dessert to share. Guests are welcome.

CLASSES

Chaney High School January and June classes of 1948 will meet for lunch at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Molly’s Restaurant on Salt Springs Road. All alumni are invited to attend.

Struthers High School Class of 1956 members are invited to a get-together with friends and a surprise guest at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Elmton in Struthers. The class will meet for breakfast Aug. 14 at Bedford Trails Restaurant in Coitsville. The reunion planning committee will meet at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 23 at the home of Pat Sabol in Struthers. Plans will be made for a 55th reunion July 16, 2011, at the Brownstone Court in Coitsville. GUILDS

Holborn Herb Growers Guild will meet at 6 p.m. Aug. 16 at Western Reserve Village in Canfield Fairgrounds to prepare the gardens for the fair. At 7 p.m. Lynn Cardwell will present a craft session on hands-on pottery for gardens. Hostesses will be Yvonne Ford, Laura Bailey, Kathy Lingenfelter and Theresa Lyden.

Western Reserve Knitting Guild will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Fair Park in Canfield for a covered dish picnic. Those attending are asked to take a place setting, a dish to share and any yarn that they would like to sell, clearly marked with their name and the price.

RELIGIOUS GROUPS

Mercer County Christian Coalition will have a picnic and rally for faith and family values at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the New Virginia Picnic Grounds in Hermitage. Those attending are asked to take a dish to share, tableware and a chair. Guests are welcome. Ken McPherson, chairman of Trumbull County Campaign for Liberty, will speak on “Getting Out of the Armchair to Vote.”

St. Anthony Auxiliary of Struthers will have a picnic at 5 p.m. Monday at Master’s Pavilion in Boardman Township Park. Reservations are to be made with the telephone girls. The committee will be Theresa Gabriel, Rosemary Murcillo, Anna DeChellis and Eileen Clemente. Arlene DeChellis will preside for business and there will be boccie.

St. Rose Quilting Group will meet at 10 a.m. every Wednesday of the month in the parish house.

SERVICE CLUBS

Girard-Liberty Kiwanis will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at The Golf Dome, 1300 N. State St., Girard.

McDonald Lions Club will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday on the second floor of the Retirement Center, 550 Ohio Ave.

SINGLES

D.A.R.E., a social group for divorced, widowed or separated people, has planned the following events: Monday, biking at 6 p.m. at Kirk Road; Tuesday, boccie at 6 p.m. at Boardman Park; Wednesday, walking at Mill Creek Park from Dr. Shah’s or short holes at Mill Creek at 6 p.m.; Thursday, new member meeting at Disciples Christian Church at 7:30 ; and Friday, movie at Poland Library at dusk. Mahoning County Parkinson’s Support Group will meet from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday at Park Vista North Lounge, 1310 Fifth ave., Youngstown. Connie Morgan, Hospice admissions director for Senior Independence, will speak about directives. Meetings take place the second Thursday of each month. Parking available in the back lot.

Mahoning Valley New Voice Club, a support group for laryngectomees and their families and friends, will have its next meeting at 6 p.m. on Wednesday at the Youngstown Hearing and Speech Center, located in Beeghly Medical Park, 6614 Southern Boulevard, Youngstown.
