A story in Tuesday’s Vindicator said Campbell will try to collect $200,000 in overdue water bills in September. The city had $108,000 in outstanding water bills from the end of May to the end of June and collected $92,000 of that, said the city’s water- accounts clerk. The incorrect amount was provided by a city official. The clerk also said overdue notices are sent every month to delinquent accounts. There are only two delinquent account holders in the city who are behind about $500 and still have their water turned on, she said. She said those customers are making payments.
