Vertanen-Geric wedding plans are announced

The engagement of Jill Vertanen of Columbus and Josh Geric of Akron and plans for their upcoming marriage are announced by their parents, Darrel and Kathy Vertanen of Youngstown and Skip and Elizabeth Geric of Canfield.

Invitations will be issued for the wedding the couple have planned for 2 p.m. Sept. 4 at Zion Lutheran Church in Youngstown, and for their reception that evening at Mr. Anthony’s Banquet Center in Boardman.

Miss Vertanen earned a bachelor’s degree in exercise science from the University of Toledo and a doctorate in physical therapy from Ohio State University.

Mr. Geric graduated from Cleveland State University with a bachelor’s degree in health science. He is pursuing a master’s degree in physician assistant studies at Mount Union College.
