Party on the Plaza and softball game

The Hope Foundation of the Mahoning Valley has planned two fundraisers.

Party on the Plaza will take place from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Friday at Buffalo Wild Wings downtown. Local celebrity and community leaders will volunteer their time bartending for the Hope Foundation of the Mahoning Valley.

On Saturday, the Hope Foundation and Valley Home Health care will present the Softball Game of Hope, a community leader/celebrity charity softball game that benefits and supports chronically or terminally ill children in the Valley.

The event will begin at 4 p.m.

The Mahoning Valley Scrappers will play the Aberdeen IronBirds at 7:05.

Tickets are $5 in advance at www.hopemv.org or $7 at the door and are good for both games. Kids 12 and under eat free: a slice of pizza, chips and a soft drink.
