Pa. suspect's family saddened by toddler's death
ERIE, Pa. (AP) — The family of a man accused of killing a toddler in western Pennsylvania says they are extremely saddened by the little girl’s death.
The father and sister of Aaron Lee Noyer say they would like to reach out to the family of 2-year-old Elizabeth Neimeic.
Noyer is charged with breaking into the girl’s home over the weekend, abducting her and then strangling her. The girl’s body was found near some railroad tracks.
Noyer’s father, Steven Black, says he doesn’t think his son is capable of such a crime. But Black says his son must pay the price if he is guilty.
Black says the family has gotten death threats since Noyer’s arrest and the family wants people to know they are sorry for what happened.
