'We Care About You' day for Trumbull County seniors

Out to the old ballgame: More than 300 senior citizens from area nursing homes had the opportunity recently to watch the Scrappers play a baseball game at Eastwood Stadium in Niles. The seniors were transported out to the old ballgame and back to the nursing homes, were treated to a picnic lunch and had reserved seats for the 5:30 p.m. game. The “We Care About You” day was organized by the Trumbull County commissioners and Niles-Trumbull Transit System and underwritten by Community Bus Services of Youngstown.
