THURSDAY
Poland United Methodist Church, 1940 Boardman-Poland Road, Poland, will serve homemade dinners to go. The sale will begin at 3:30 p.m. and last until the food is sold out. Cost of the meal, which comprises a baked stuffed chicken breast, mashed potatoes and green beans, is $6. Take advantage of the drive-through service. Drive up to the front of the church and someone will hand you a dinner to go. No need to order or get out of your car.
St. Michael Orthodox Church, 125 Steel St., Youngstown, will serve a homemade Chinese lunch and supper from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. every Thursday. This week’s meal of five-spice beef will be served Thursday through Saturday in conjunction with the church’s three-day garage sale. The cost of the meal is $5. No reservations are necessary.
Western Reserve United Methodist Church, 4580 Canfield Road, Canfield, will sell take-out meals of stuffed chicken breast, mashed potatoes, green beans and a brownie from 4 p.m. until sold out. The cost is $7. No reservations required. Just drive through and pick up a dinner.
FRIDAY
Canfield Lions will sponsor a fish dinner from 4:30 to 8 p.m. at A La Cart Catering, 429 Lisbon St., Canfield. Meals include baked or fried haddock, coleslaw, roll, beverage and dessert, with a choice of one side, french fries, macaroni and cheese, haluski, green beans or pirogi. The cost is $10. Takeouts available.
East High School Alumni Association will have a fish fry from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 57 Saranac Ave., Youngstown. The cost is $8 per dinner. To place an order call 330-207-6202.
Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $9 for adults and $4.50 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 330-792-1005.
National Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon, 2759 Lipkey Road, North Jackson, will sell 12-inch Briar Hill style pizzas for $8 each every Friday. Orders will be accepted before 5 p.m. Fridays and pickup will be from 3 to 6 p.m. For more information or to place an order call 330-538-3351.

Dinners include stuffed chicken breast, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans and a brownie. The cost is $6. Drive up to the door and a volunteer will bring the meal to your car. Harmony Museum will have a dinner of German foods Aug. 21 at Stewart Hall, 218 Mercer St., Harmony, Pa. The buffet will include roast pork and sauerkraut, chicken cordon bleu, potato salad, spaetzle, fried green tomatoes, squash, cabbage, cucumber salad, applesauce and homemade desserts. Patrons can take German beverages. Iced tea, hot tea and coffee will be available. The cost is $15. Historic Lutheran Church of St. John, 1492 Mahoning Ave., one block west of the Mahoning Avenue bridge and next to Fellows Riverside Gardens, will serve an all-you-can-eat pulled pork dinner from 1 to 7 p.m. Aug. 14. The menu includes baked beans, coleslaw, beverage and desserts. There will be dinner music from 5 to 7. Sandwiches will be available from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cost for a sandwich is $5, and for dinner, $9.95. Takeouts will be available by calling 330-502-5149.
Knights of Columbus, St. Jude Council 10183, of St. Jude Roman Catholic Church, 180 Seventh Street, Columbiana, will have a steak fry at 6 p.m. Aug. 11 at the pavilion behind the church. The menu features steak, fresh pork ham, corn on the cob, salad, mushrooms, garlic bread, beverages and dessert. Tickets can be purchased in advance for $18 at all weekend Masses, from any member of the K. of C., by calling Paul Rance at 330-482-3125, Charlie Troll at 330-549-9522, or the church at 330-482-2351. They will be $20 at the door. In conjunction with the dinner there will be horseshoes, volleyball, a golf hole in the pool contest, and surprise door prize. The event is open to the public.
VFW Triangle Post 2799 Auxiliary, 3161 E. South Range Road, New Springfield, will serve spaghetti dinners with meatballs, salad, bread and coffee or tea from 4 to 7 p.m. Aug. 12 The cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children under 12. Carryouts are $6.25.
