Police said they arrested a 35-year-old Boardman man on charges of having drug paraphernalia and public indecency in Poland Municipal Forest.
A 25-year-old woman from Poland was jogging in the woods when she spotted a man in the path with his shorts down, touching himself. She alerted village police about 10:30 a.m. Saturday.
Officers said they found the man at the College Street entrance of the woods. Jeremy Pruett said he had been urinating. He also told police that he had a marijuana pipe on him.
Dog warden chosen

Mahoning County commissioners have appointed Dave Nelson the official county dog warden. Nelson has been acting as the interim dog warden for the last 14 months and has been with the department for six years. Nelson is still being paid the interim rate of $14.42 per hour, but that rate will be negotiated with commissioners in light of the new official position. Nelson said he is happy with commissioners’ decision and plans to make some visible changes in the department.

Loved Ones of Prisoners will make a public request of Gov. Ted Strickland concerning death row during a news conference at 1 p.m. Saturday in St. Augustine Episcopal Church, 614 Parmalee Ave.
LOOP, with other supporting organizations, will ask the governor to grant six men on death row a reprieve. The request follows an interview with Justice Paul Pfeifer of the Ohio Supreme Court, who told The Columbus Dispatch that all current death-row cases in Ohio should be reviewed to see which cases warrant execution.
Pleads guilty to rapes
WARREN
James E. Cramer III, 33, of Summit Street Northwest, will go to prison for at least 10 years for raping girls age 6 and 7 late last year. Cramer pleaded guilty Monday in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court before Judge Peter Kontos to four rape counts, each of which carries a penalty of 10 years to life in prison. Prosecutors said Cramer raped the girls between September and December 2009.
Body recovered
SHARON, PA.
After a more than three-hour search, the body of a 15-year-old boy was found in the Shenango River.
Capt. Brian Scarmack of the Sharon Fire Departmen, said the Farrell teen was swimming in the river with two other children, age 9 and 11, just before 3 p.m. Monday when a strong current pulled him under. Scarmack said the teen’s body was found in about 12 feet of water by divers about 6:30 p.m. near the Budd Street Bridge. The fire department wouldn’t confirm the teen’s name, but according to Vindicator news partner WFMJ, the victim’s name was Brandin Norris.
